Spring Evaluation Information

YCGS Player Evaluations – What to Expect

Player evaluations are designed to be efficient and organized while allowing our managers and coaches the opportunity to properly assess each athlete.

All evaluations will take place on the main field near the snack bar. Players should plan to attend during their assigned division time as listed on the evaluation schedule.

What Players Should Wear & Bring:

Players must arrive in full softball attire, including:

  • Glove
  • Bat
  • Helmet
  • Softball pants

Cleats are required. Metal cleats are only allowed for our 18u division.

Arrival & Check-In:

Families are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to their preferred evaluation time to allow for warm-ups and check-in. Preferred check-in times are based on last name and are intended to help minimize wait times; however, players may evaluate at any point during their assigned division window.

Evaluation Process:

  • Pitchers and catchers will evaluate during their designated time.
  • Open evaluations are for all non-pitchers/catchers.
  • Evaluations are run efficiently, and families can expect to be at the field for approximately one hour.

Please note: If a player would like to be considered for a higher division, she must evaluate in both age divisions.
