Select Program Guidelines

•  The Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball Program is happy to offer a Select Softball Program through USA Softball. 
• The Select Program is in place for those recreational players that have developed a higher level of softball skill and are not yet ready to make the jump to travel softball. 
• The Select Program is sanctioned by USA Softball and has specific rules. The program provides the option for advanced players to practice and play games together with other leagues at a more challenging level. 
• Teams are formed only after tryouts are held.  
• One team per division (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U) will be formed. 
• Team practices and/or are only held on Sundays with recreational team practices superseding Select team practices. 
•  Select tryouts are mandatory and information regarding date and times for tryouts will be given in a timely matter, posted at the fields as well as on the Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball website and Social Media pages. 
• To be considered for the Select Season, players must attend the tryout. 
•  Any player registered with Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball for the current Spring season is eligible to tryout for the Select program.  
• Cost for the season includes practice jerseys, tournament jerseys, hooded sweatshirt and visor. 
• Playing on a Select team, does not guarantee a spot on the All Star team.
